Cite Strota market data
Strota's Indian market flow data is free to use in articles, research, newsletters and reports. Here is the exact wording and the links to use.
The short version
Attribute the number and link to the page you took it from. That is the whole requirement. There is no licence fee, no registration and nothing to request in advance.
Website citation
Strota, "FII/DII Data — Cash and Derivatives Positioning", accessed 16 October 2026. https://strota.in/fii-dii-data
Dataset citation
Strota, FII/DII Positioning Dataset, session of <trade date you are citing>. https://strota.in/fii-positioning
Use the exact session date the data belongs to, not the date you read it. Every page shows its "as of" line, and every session has a dated permalink.
In-line attribution line
Source: Strota (strota.in)
For a single figure taken from a session page, use the dated permalink rather than the homepage, because the homepage changes every session:
Source: Strota, session of 29 September 2026 — https://strota.in/2026-09-29

Reproducing charts and screenshots
- Screenshots and charts may be republished with a visible credit line ("Chart: Strota, strota.in") and a link to the page the chart came from.
- Do not alter the plotted values. Crop, resize and annotate freely.
- Do not present a Strota chart as originating anywhere else.
Before you publish
- Check the "as of" line on the page. End-of-day datasets do not update intraday, and a number from a previous session should not be described as today's.
- Read the definition of the field on the methodology page. A net flow, a position and a holding are three different things.
- If a figure is going into print or a large distribution and you want it checked before you file, ask us and we will verify it against the source.
Where a number on Strota is reported by a third party rather than computed from exchange data, we say so on the page that carries it. Please carry that distinction through when you cite us.
