What to watch in small caps
Liquidity is thinner, so prices can move sharply on modest volume and stocks can hit their circuit limits; the delivery column helps separate genuine buying from intraday churn. Breadth matters more than the index level: a small-cap rally carried by a handful of stocks is weaker than one where most of the 250 advance, and the advance and decline count above the table gives that at a glance.
Valuation tends to swing widely as well. The P/E line places today's figure within the index's own past year. The data here begins in April 2016, the first session the index appears in NSE's daily index file.
