- Open the registrar's allotment page, or NSE's or BSE's.
- Pick the IPO from the list and enter your PAN, application number or demat account number.
- Not allotted? The blocked amount in your bank account is released on the second working day after bidding closes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check IPO allotment status?
On the registrar's website or on NSE or BSE, with your PAN, application number or demat account number. Allotment status is published from the evening of the allotment date, the working day after the issue closes.
When is IPO allotment done?
Under SEBI's T+3 timeline the basis of allotment is finalised on T+1, the first working day after the issue closes. Refunds and demat credit follow on T+2 and the shares list on T+3.
Which registrar handles my IPO?
Every issue names one registrar in its offer document. The table above shows it for each mainboard IPO (from NSE's issue details); for SME issues, check the registrar named in the red herring prospectus.
Why does my allotment show 'not allotted'?
In an oversubscribed issue, retail lots are given by lottery: when applications exceed the lots on offer, only some applicants receive one lot. The blocked amount is released on T+2.
Does Strota ask for my PAN?
No. Allotment can only be checked on the registrar's or exchange's own site; Strota links to them.
